Ao Nang Orchid ResortIntroductionThe hotel’s attractively-decorated and spotlessly clean lobby sets a good first impression, which is subsequently reinforced by the rest of this hotel. The rooms’ décor is not the most inspiring most visitors will have ever seen, but is innocuous.
RestaurantThe restaurant serves a decent breakfast, except that many people will dislike the sweet white bread that accompanies it. If you book on this site, we will supply you with a fresh quality loaf on arrival, as well as giving you a hopefully unbeatable price. The restaurant is adequate for a lazy pool-side lunch, but not very inspiring for dinner, plus offers poor value for money. A better idea is to eat out, click here for the restaurant/nightlife/amenities map.
Accommodation
‘Grand Deluxe’ RoomsSome of the ‘Grand Deluxe’ rooms have unattractive views over Ao Nang town, and others have fabulous views of the limestone karsts that separate Ao Nang from the Railay peninsula. The higher up the room is in the building, of course, the better the view (and the longer the hike up to the room). Some of the karst views are obscured by trees. The rooms on the upper floors have postage stamp-sized sea-views, which aren’t worth bothering with and are totally overshadowed by most of the rooms’ stupendous karst views.
‘Grand Pool Villa’ RoomsThe ‘Grand Pool Villa’ rooms are on the ground floor, and you can have own entrance direct to the beautiful and unique swimming pool. These are really charming and well-appointed rooms and are highly recommended, except for those who regard a private balcony as a priority. These 13 bungalows, which have Jacuzzis and individual access to the enormous pool, are a good bet for families, and pretty much everybody else too. They are well appointed with a quality TV and DVD player. Parents can watch their children frolic in the pool without leaving their own terrace, then jump in and out for dips on whims. These bungalows are a very relaxing place to form the base for your stay in Ao Nang, and are recommended.
